This collection contains selected papers from the 4th International Conference on Education and Social Science Research (ICESRE) held virtually on the 9^th of October 2021. This annual event was hosted by the Institute of Research and Community Service, Universitas PGRI Semarang, Indonesia.

This conference was held to discuss the latest advances in the various sub-fields of education and social sciences.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 103 peer-reviewed articles exploring the innovations, challenges and opportunities associated with the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in education. Studies include explorations of educational technologies and distance learning, the role of teachers in science education and academic curriculums and policies.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students and professionals researching or working in the fields of educational technology, educational curriculum and policies, psychology and sociology, legal and political education, and economics.
