This collection contains selected papers from the international research conference Transdisciplinary Symposium on Business, Economics, and Communication held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 21 September 2022. This event was hosted by the Universitas Dian Nusantara.
The conference was held to bring together innovators interested in deepening their understanding of Indonesia’s entrepreneurial, economic, and institutional landscape in today’s international climate.
This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 79 peer-review papers on management, SMEs, business, and communication within an increasingly complex social context. Indonesia’s private and public institutions have undergone massive transformations in recent years, in response to global conversations about business integrity, sustainability, identity politics, and technology. The country’s current challenges and opportunities align with the experiences of many developing countries that are forced to find balance between modernity and tradition, particularly when working to promote their economies. This special issue explores themes including eco-tourism, women’s political representation, Islamic jurisprudence in business practices, and the role of family business models on tax systems, inter alia.
These papers will be of interest to academics, students, and professionals researching or working on Management, SMEs, Business, and Communication.
