This collection contains selected papers from the 3rd International Conference on Advance & Scientific Innovation (ICASI) – Life Sciences Chapter held in Medan, Indonesia on the 20th–21st of July 2021. This event was hosted by the Forum Kerjasama Pendidikan Tinggi.
The purpose of this conference was to discuss the epidemiology of some of the major public health issues and diseases prevalent in Indonesia.
This KnE Life Sciences collection contains 76 peer-reviewed articles containing ground breaking research on biology, healthcare, and pharmacology topics. Key themes include new studies into illnesses such as leprosy, tuberculosis and hypertension, and new insights into medication efficacy in combatting disease. In addition, this collection offers a unique overview of the disparate diseases which predominate in different Indonesian provinces.
These papers will be of interest to academics, students and professionals researching or working in the fields of healthcare and pharmaceutical and biological sciences.
