HIV/AIDS Positive Cases Based on Basic Health Research Data in 2019, Indonesia

Abstract

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is an infectious disease that attacks the body immune system. It is hard to protect the body when infected with this virus. Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Riskesda data in 2019 stated that HIV/AIDS cases tend to increase year by year in the male group rather than women. Of the total HIV/AIDS cases, 65% are men and 35% are women. In addition, AIDS infects mostly men (69%) and only 31% of women. This virus also infects people of productive age on average 25-49 years old.
