This collection contains selected papers from the 4th International Conference on Law Reform (4th INCLAR) held in Malang, East Java, Indonesia on July 21-23, 2023. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

This conference was held to bring together legal experts to address the need for legal reforms in the digital age, as people, institutions, and governments continue to experience new implications around the use of technology in our everyday lives.

This collection contains 91 peer-reviewed papers which delve into the influence of digital technologies and infrastructures within a multitude of legal frameworks. Technology is being introduced to every aspect of life, whether on the individual level in the form of social media platforms, institutionally in the form of online banking systems, or on a global level with drone warfare or cyber-attacks on foreign lands. These rapidly evolving technologies continue to change the way we engage with each other and existing systems, thereby requiring legal frameworks to evolve alongside them. The papers presented in this collection aim to address these very needs by exploring a multitude of reforms needed within legal philosophies and practices within environmental law, human rights law, business and bankruptcy law, criminal law, and international law, to name a few.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working on law, social science, Islamic studies, human rights and public health.
