This collection contains selected papers from The First Annual International Conference on Social, Literacy, Art, History, Library and Information Science (ICoLIS) held in Bandar Lampung City, Indonesia on October 09-11, 2023. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Adab Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung.

The conference was held to foster and improve dialogue between social scholars on the theme of "Interpreting the Role of Religion, Social, Language, and Literature in Cultivating Literacy Culture".

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 50 peer-review articles. The First Annual International Conference on Social, Literacy, Art, History, Library, and Information Science (ICoLIS) presents a diverse and enriching collection that reflects the multifaceted nature of contemporary academic research. Scholars in this issue explore topics from across a wide spectrum of disciplines, emphasizing the interconnectedness of social, literary, artistic, historical, library and information science domains.
