This issue contains selected articles from the VIII International Congress of Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation SECTEI 2021 held in Riobamba, Ecuador on the 8^th–10^th of November 2021. This event was organized by the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo in collaboration with the Publications Directorate.

SECTEI is an annual event held to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss their work and ideas on the recent advances and innovation in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Basic Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Life and Environmental Sciences, and Social and Administrative Sciences.

This ESPOCH issue is a collection of 33 peer-reviewed articles covering a broad spectrum of topics. Some studies analyse health education in cancer patients, university students' knowledge of unintended pregnancies and abortions, mental health implications of virtual learning on student engagement and cases of workplace harassment. Others discuss ideas for effective brand management of an enterprise and digital marketing for the strategic positioning of a brand.
