This collection contains selected papers from the 5th International Conference on Governance, Public Administration, and Social Science (ICoGPASS) held in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 23, 2024. This event was hosted by the NIPA-School of Administration and the Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA) as co-hosts.
The conference was held to explore new advances in theoretical, experimental, and applied research relating to the topic of resilient global governance, with a particular emphasis on equal development policies, human resources management and public sector economics.
This KnE Social Sciences special issue contains 37 peer-reviewed articles that focus on key topics relating to the special issue theme, including new government initiatives, poverty and risk management, strategic planning, and developmental projects across Indonesian cities. This special issue also explores ways to improve tourism and public sector competency, innovation in protecting indigenous knowledge, and the roles of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), village-owned enterprises (BUMDes), and women's empowerment in promoting local economic growth and sustainable development. The articles in this issue also address problems such as climate change, merit systems, reproductive health, disability inclusion in elections, and building smart villages.
These papers will be of interest to students or research professionals working in administration, policy, politics, government, economy, sustainable development, digitalization, and innovation.
