This collection contains selected papers from the 2nd Virtual Conference on Social Science in Law, Political Issue and Economic Development held in Sidoarjo, Indonesia on the 15^th of December 2021. This event was hosted by the PT. Kresna Acitya Nusantara Mediatama and Collaboration Relawan Jurnal Indonesia.

The conference brought together researchers and practitioners from the fields of political science, law, economics, education and management to discuss the latest evidence in and perspectives on a broad range of topics, with the key theme being the increased media outreach and technological advancements in the different fields.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 48 peer-reviewed papers. Several papers discuss the role of the media – particularly social media – in disseminating government policies, forming public knowledge and encouraging youth participation in strengthening democracy, while others dig into the issues of notary violations, factors affecting the auditing process of Indonesian companies and the need for a law to regulate personal data collection in Indonesian cyberspace. Another key theme is corporate sustainability, company leadership and strategies for enhancing employee performance and engagement. One paper expands upon storytelling as a CSR strategy to evoke human emotions and make a substantial impact.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students and professionals researching or working in the fields of education, law, political science, economics and management.
