International Conference on Multidisciplinary Science (Iconais)

KnE Social Sciences / International Conference on Multidisciplinary Science (Iconais)

This special issue contains selected papers from The International Conference on Multidisciplinary Science held in Bandar Lampung City, Indonesia on November 10 - 13, 2022. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Study, Islamic State University Raden Intan Lampung.

The conference was organised to explore contemporary political, economic, and cultural policies and practices from the perspective of Islamic doctrine. Researchers, academicians, educators, practitioners, government officials, and consultants were invited to share their perspectives on some of the most pressing issues challenging and contributing to Indonesian affairs.

The KnE Social Sciences collection contains 50 peer-reviewed papers that explore populism, women’s empowerment, leadership, youth affairs, education, humanitarianism, and political economy through Islamic perspectives. This collection opens a balanced dialogue about the challenges of developing regional nationalism in a globalising world. As religion and cultural norms are both influenced and challenged by dominating imprints of global economies, multilateral political engagement, and global humanitarian and interventionist practices, scholars come together to develop new ways of engaging with institutional structures of power and practice.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students, or professionals researching or working on contemporary changes and development in political, social, and religious studies, especially from Islamic Perspectives.
