This collection contains selected papers from the 2nd Virtual Conference on Social Science in Law, Political Issue and Economic Development held in Sidoarjo, Indonesia on the 15th of December 2021. This event was hosted by the PT. Kresna Acitya Nusantara Mediatama and Collaboration Relawan Jurnal Indonesia.

The conference brought together researchers and practitioners from the fields of political science, law, economics, education and management to discuss the latest evidence in and perspectives on a broad range of topics, with the key theme being the increased media outreach and technological advancements in the different fields.

This collection contains selected papers from the International Conference Transdisciplinary Paradigm on Islamic Knowledge (ICONIK 2020) held in Kendari, Indonesia on the 7th and 8th of September 2020. This event was hosted by the IAIN Kendari in cooperation with Southeast Asia Academic Mobility (SSEAM).

The theme of this conference was “transdisciplinary research” through an integration of previously divided disciplines such as natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, science and technology, and Islamic studies. It was held to bring together academics, practitioners, and independent researchers from the fields of humanities and social sciences to share and exchange knowledge, practices, and ideas on building a transdisciplinary paradigm based on Islamic knowledge.

This collection contains selected papers from the International English Language Teachers and Lecturers (iNELTAL) Conference 2021 held in Malang, Indonesia on the 21st and 22nd of August 2021. This event was hosted by the Department of English, Faculty of Letters, Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, and organised in collaboration with the Academy of Language Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Perlis Branch, Malaysia.

The conference brought together English teachers, lecturers and students to exchange their perspectives and ideas on the best practices for teaching the English language in Indonesia, focusing on all three aspects of reading, comprehending and writing the language.   

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 28 peer-reviewed papers. The research discusses the challenges and complexity involved in teaching the English language and literature in Indonesia from a 21st-century standpoint. Some papers explore perspectives on classroom discourse strategies such as group assignments and study buddy programs – particularly for young learners. Others compare online and offline learning approaches and discuss the efficacy of blended learning. One paper argues about the benefits of developing a discipline-specific visual dictionary for nursing students.
