This collection contains selected papers from International Conference Health, Social Science & Engineering (ICHSSE 2022), held in Serang Banten, Indonesia on the 2nd and 3rd of August 2022.
The conference was held to explore the intersections between health, sustainability, and healing practices in a post-COVID-19 era.
This special issue contains 40 peer-reviewed articles that deal with some of the most prevalent health crises affecting global populations, from the ongoing effects of COVID-19 to the diseases carried by contaminated water sources in heavily polluted regions of the world. This wide-ranging collection not only reflects on the causes, prevalence, and consequences of these diseases, but also addresses treatments options and solutions to combat the physical damage caused by climate pollution. Scholars in this special issue offer a variety of perspectives on how to handle health and climate crises, whether through religious practice, traditional healing techniques, or secular scientific treatments.
