This conference contains selected papers from the International Doctorate Students Conference + Lab Workshop in Civil Engineering, held in Portugal on the 26^th-28^th June 2019. The conference was hosted by the University of Beira Interior. This event offers an international platform for doctoral students to exchange ideas and discover the latest achievements in civil engineering.

The collection contains 24 peer-reviewed papers addressing various key themes and issues in the field of civil engineering.

Topics include building technologies and management, construction materials, energy and sustainable buildings, environmental sanitation, geotechnics, hydraulics and water resources, structures, transports, GIS applications and urban and planning.
