KnE Social Sciences / Science and Technology Research Symposium (SIRES)

This collection contains selected papers from the Science and Technology Research Symposium (Social Sciences Track). The Symposium was held in Bandung, Indonesia on the 15th of September 2021, and was hosted by the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM Universitas Islam Bandung, Unisba).

Organised to bring scientists, engineers, practitioners, students, researchers and policy makers together, the Symposium facilitated the exchange of ideas and discussion of new developments relating to science and technology innovations impacting social sciences across the region.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 27 peer-reviewed papers. Key themes include the use of digital learning tools in high schools; environmentally friendly approaches in office environments with regards to manufacturing, waste management, and energy efficiency; and technological developments undertaken as part of Indonesia’s Industrial Revolution 4.0 initiative.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working in the fields of information technology, social sciences and humanities.
