This collection contains selected papers from the International Conference Transdisciplinary Paradigm on Islamic Knowledge (ICONIK 2020) held in Kendari, Indonesia on the 7th and 8th of September 2020. This event was hosted by the IAIN Kendari in cooperation with Southeast Asia Academic Mobility (SSEAM).

The theme of this conference was “transdisciplinary research” through an integration of previously divided disciplines such as natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, science and technology, and Islamic studies. It was held to bring together academics, practitioners, and independent researchers from the fields of humanities and social sciences to share and exchange knowledge, practices, and ideas on building a transdisciplinary paradigm based on Islamic knowledge.

This conference was held to discuss recent ideas, evidence and issues on the intersection of the use of IT advances and public administration in a changing world. The conference considered a range of perspectives, from governance to gender, and situated the discussions with the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the main areas examined by the researchers is the implementation of technology for electronic public services. This collection contains selected papers from the international conference Integration Processes in the Russian and International Research Domain: Experience and Prospects held in Petrozavodsk, Russia on October 7^th-8^th, 2021. This event was hosted by the Karelian Research Centre (KarRC) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

This conference was held as a dedication to the 75th anniversary of KarRC RAS. It provided an opportunity to showcase the integration processes of interdisciplinarity, interactions with educational institutions and international activities. The conference brought together researchers from KarRC RAS and their colleagues from other scientific organizations focusing on the processes of integration in the natural sciences and humanities.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 25 peer-reviewed papers on interdisciplinary basic and applied research in different areas of science, essentially exploring what we know about people and the environment, and our place within it.
