This collection contains selected papers from the XXIV International Conference "Culture, Personality, Society in the Conditions of Digitalization: Methodology and Experience of Empirical Research" named after professor L.N. Kogan and held in Yekaterinburg, Russia on the 19th-21st March 2021. This event was hosted by the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, and by the Institute of Modern Management Technologies.

The conference was held to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss the latest evidence and perspectives on the digitalisation of the social and political sphere, particularly within the context of globalisation.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 20 peer-reviewed papers on sociology and political science. Several researchers examine the digital sphere as a means of enhancing and promoting cultural products and identities. Others consider perspectives on political structures and tensions, and challenges in higher education in a digital world. Another key theme is ethical questions surrounding the digital space and technology: who is responsible for their security and the assessment of risks? What affects ethical conduct in virtual communication? And how is the expansion of technologies changing us as humans?

These papers will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working in sociology, political science, education, anthropology or philosophy.
