Services / Guidelines

FOR AUTHORS

On this webpage, you will find Knowledge E’s guidelines, editorial and technical instructions for the preparation of a manuscript. Ideally, authors should adhere as closely as possible to these rules, but there may be cases where this is not possible, or the style guide might be silent on a given point; should this be the case, please try and maintain consistency.

Any inquiries regarding the guidelines or questions related to submission & publication of a manuscript should be addressed to our publishing team at: publishing@knowledgee.com.

Upon submission, all authors will be automatically registered for content alerts from the publication. To stop receiving the alerts, authors can subsequently unsubscribe through the link provided in the email.

Publication Ethics

Knowledge E makes every effort to ensure high quality scholarship in all published articles and conference papers on the KnE Publishing Platform. The platform exists in order to share best practices and accelerate the advance of academic research from regions all over the world. In order to achieve this goal, we aim to instill confidence in our readers. CrossMark Policy

CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative to provide a standard way for readers to locate the current version of a piece of content. By applying the CrossMark logo, Knowledge E is committing to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.

By clicking on the CrossMark logo will tell you the current status of a document. For more information about CrossMark, please check at https://www.crossref.org/services/crossmark/.

Think. Check. Submit. Initiative

Think. Check. Submit. is a campaign to help researchers identify trusted journals for their research. It is a simple checklist researchers can use to assess the credentials of a journal or publisher. Knowledge E encourage all the researchers to use the suggested checklist when deciding which journal to publish their research in. For more details and information, please visit http://thinkchecksubmit.org/. The Arabic version was released by Knowledge E is available at http://thinkchecksubmit.org/arabic/.

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID)

Authors are strongly encouraged to obtain and include an ORCiD identifier and to include this in their contact details after their email address. ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes each author separately from every other researcher and, through integration in key research workflows such as manuscript and grant submission, supports automated linkages between authors and their professional activities ensuring that their work is recognized. See https://orcid.org (there is no charge to sign up for these).

Correction and Retraction Notices

Correction Notices

Errors do occur in scientific and academic research, and may only be recognized after publication. Knowledge E recognises that it is crucial to have systems in place to correct, revise or retract articles if necessary, and to be transparent about these activities.

It is appropriate and necessary to publish an erratum when a correction would substantially affect the accuracy, clarity, meaning and/or reproducibility (without changing the fundamental interpretations and conclusions). However, this is only for major errors which affect the reader’s understanding of the research, not minor issues such as typos or reference formatting.

If you believe an erratum is required, please send an email to publishing@knowledgee.com. This must include the publication title, article title and article link, and explain the error and the correction required. We will get in touch once we have confirmed that this is a major error requiring a correction announcement.

For more guidance on when an erratum is vs. is not appropriate and the steps that should be taken in publishing an erratum, please see our Corrections and Retractions Guide.

Retraction Notices

As publishers, we have a duty to support and maintain the academic integrity of the content we publish. If findings are found to be unreliable, falsified, or plagiarized, we will consider a retraction. If a retraction is required, please send an email to publishing@knowledgee.com with the relevant information for our consideration.
