Uses of Quranic Quotations in the Poetry of Abu Ishaq al-Ilibiri al-Andalus (460 AH)

Abstract

The research aims to observe the manifestations of employing the meanings of the Noble Qur'an in the poetry of Abu Ishaq Al-Ilbiri (d. 460 AH), known for his outstanding common meanings of wisdom in his poetry. Because wisdom in Muslim culture is not isolated from the interpretations of the Qur'an, there are uses that need to be examined and their meanings analyzed in his poetry in general. The study was divided into two sections: textual uses dominated by the Qur'anic pronunciation, and indicative ones dominated by Qur'anic meanings, whose meaning has the clearest link to the holy text. On the one hand, the study was conducted to monitor the reference to the Qur'anic text and, on the other hand to clarify the general technical features that govern this employment and identify the poet's ingenuity in it.
