The Arab Journal of Nutrition and Exercise (AJNE) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal established in 2017. We encourage the dissemination of rigorous and innovative research in the fields of nutrition and exercise sciences. We are the only journal specifically focusing on the role of, and developments in, these two interlinked disciplines in the Arab region, and we seek to promote both traditional and new areas of research in nutrition, physical activity, and public health research across the Arab world.
AJNE invites original empirical and conceptual research from the Arab world and Middle East region in the fields of nutrition, physical activity, and public health. We publish high-quality original research, critical review articles, short communications, and case reports. In addition, we accept book reviews, conference reports and abstracts, and welcome suggestions for special issues on key emergent themes and research areas of specific interest relating to the fields of nutrition and exercise.
We publish generative research and transformative analysis by university researchers, medical staff, and public sector professionals, and particularly welcome work by junior academics and young professionals.
AJNE aims contribute to a greater understanding of how nutrition and physical activity combine and interact to maintain health and prevent non-communicable diseases. The research published by AJNE is relevant for academic researchers and medical professionals (particularly nutritionists, dieticians and sports nutritionists).
Our authors benefit from a quick turn-around from submission to acceptance, expert critical insights from our peer reviewers and editorial team, and a truly global audience with readers from over 160 countries.
Owned by Zayed University and hosted by KnE Publishing, AJNE publishes three issues a year and all submissions undergo double blind peer review.
