Since its inception in 2004, the West Kazakhstan Medical Journal (WKMJ) has remained steadfast in its commitment to advancing medical research, healthcare practices, and knowledge dissemination. With a rich history spanning nearly two decades, WKMJ has evolved into a trusted source of valuable insights in the ever-evolving field of medicine.

WKMJ holds a Certificate of re-registration (No. 17673-Ж, dated 04.18.2019) issued by the Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan, underscoring its dedication to meeting the highest standards of journalistic integrity and professionalism.

Our journal has always sought to extend its reach beyond borders, reflecting the global nature of medical research and healthcare. This commitment is reflected in our inclusion in the international database of Ulrich's International Periodical Directory, the Italian Database of Scientific Publications CINECA, and the Russian Scientific Citation Index (RSCI). These affiliations underscore our status as a truly international platform for medical research.

WKMJ takes immense pride in being included in the list of publications recommended by the Committee for Control of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the publication of the main results of scientific activity. This recognition, as per the commission's decision of April 15, 2016, highlights our dedication to promoting scientific excellence and innovation.

WKMJ is more than a publication; it's a platform for the voices of medical researchers, practitioners, and educators. Our vision is to foster collaboration, spark innovation, and drive advancements in medicine and healthcare, with a particular focus on the global aspects. We aim to provide a space where ideas flourish, knowledge is shared, and the medical community thrives.

WKMJ is a quarterly journal.
