Luis Gerardo Flores Mancheno, PhD

Dr. Mancheno is a Zootechnical Engineer. He graduated from the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo in November 1995 and then obtained a Masters in Animal Production with a Mention in Animal Nutrition from the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, graduating in May 2000. He obtained a Diploma in Sustainable Animal Production with output in Monogastric Nutrition, from the University of Granma Cuba in October 2004, and a Masters in Teaching and University Research from the National University of Loja in July 2008. He then obtained his Doctor in Veterinary Sciences (PhD) from the Agrarian University of Havana in December 2015. He has been a tenured professor at the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo since August 1998 after winning the respected award of Merits and Opposition. He was the Career Director of the School of Zootechnical Engineering from July 2010 to September 2012. He was also the Main Member of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Livestock Sciences from February 2001 to February 2002 and from May 2004 to May 2005, and the Main Member of Culture and Sports of APPOCH from July 2005 to June 2009. In addition, he has written a range of scientific articles that have been published in indexed journals. Dr. Mancheno has been the ESPOCH Director of Publications from September 2016 to the present date.
