The Effect of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Ocb) in Building Construction Companies

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and the commitment of workers’ organizations to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on construction service companies in Jakarta. This study uses primary data. Data is collected from questionnaires through proportional random sampling techniques to the workers of building construction in 4 (four) construction companies. The results of questionnaires were obtained from 30 (thirty) respondents from 4 (four) job positions, namely: Project Manager, Site manager, Supervisor and Staff. Data analysis in this study used linear regression to see the influence of leadership and organizational commitment of Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The results shows that there is an influence of transformational leadership on workers’ organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. There is a significant influence between organizational citizenship behavior and workers’ organizational commitment.
