Exploration and Experimentation in Modern Art: Painting in a Personal Style

Abstract

In the art of modern painting, a personal style is required so that the artist can be identified. To be distinct and identifiable, there must be a consistency among an artist’s paintings. Yte, at the same time, artists continue to experiment and explore new variations making it harder to maintain an identifiable style. Variation can include objects (type, amount and colour) and composition (location, direction and attitude).
