‘Competing with COVID-19 in Sudan’ is a special issue focusing on the specific issues challenges faced by the Sudanese health sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a guest editorial by Professor Hassan Bella. Given the nature of this pandemic and the value of the research contained in this issue, we are publishing on a direct release basis, rather than waiting for the full issue to be ready.
