The Transforming Power of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem: Lessons Learned (IARS)

KnE Social Sciences / The Transforming Power of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem: Lessons Learned (IARS)

The complex global environment for entrepreneurship and innovation has experienced significant changes during the past decade, requiring a deeper understanding of micro-, meso-, and macro forces to realize sustained success. Many countries, especially developing ones, hope to obtain a competitive edge through innovation and to strengthen their economies through encouraging entrepreneurship. Today, applied research is the key to feeding industries and institutions especially in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, where practice precedes theory.

Currently, ecosystems across the globe are progressing due to the evolving dynamics of innovation and entrepreneurship. This Applied Research Symposium will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the globe to debate the emerging challenges and long-term solutions affecting technology, innovation, sustainability of global talent and business industries in our globalized economies.

Innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology will form the pillars of a knowledge-based, highly productive and competitive economy, driven by entrepreneurs and leaders in a business-friendly environment, where public and private sectors form effective partnerships. Through the dissemination and exchange of ideas and applied practices among researchers, students, policymakers, and practitioners, this symposium will promote a better understanding of all current matters in all related fields and create a pool of best practices that can be applied in several contexts.
