Our editorial team performs an initial editorial check of all submitted manuscripts against the scope of the journal. If the manuscript adheres to the journal’s policies then we run all submitted manuscripts through the Crossref Similarity Check using iThenticate technology. A Similarity report is retrieved for each manuscript and any result greater than 20% is further scrutinised manually by our editorial team to determine the part of the manuscript responsible and make a decision about any further action. If plagiarism is suspected, then we reject the manuscript and inform the corresponding author of the reason in the case of hosted journals. In the case of conference proceedings, we suggest either withdrawal or major revisions to the conference organizer.
Once the manuscripts have passed the initial editorial checks, our editorial office forwards them to the journal Editor-in-Chief.
