This study aims to identify the role of school environment with regards to bullying behaviour amongst elementary school students in Jambi city. A cross-sectional research design was performed with 214 elementary school students at SDN 116/IV Kota Jambi, Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used in this study. The questionnaires by Olweus Bully Questionnaire (OBQ) Goncalves et al. (2016) were used to collect data. Chi-square test was used in this study. The results indicate 112 (52.3%) respondents had mild bullying behaviour and suggest there is a significant relationship between bullying behaviour and the role of the school environment (p-value = 0.001> 0.05).
